welcomes individual or group performers to our stage for

and/or
--MULTI-MEDIA PERFORMANCE (video, DJ booth, and tech amenities available).
And our ¡SLAM! PAYS w/$$$ and crowd -- read on!
Here's the way our nightly schedule plays out:
9pm

9:30pm to 10:30pm
--1st DJ set OR poetry showcase
10pm to 10:20pm
--poet signup
10:30pm to 11:15pm
--ROUND ONE
11:15pm to 11:30pm
--15 minute break w/DJ
--open freestyle
11:30pm to 12:15am
--ROUND TWO
12:15am to 12:30am
--15 minute break
--open freestyle
12:30am to 1am
--FINAL ROUND & awards
1am to 2am
--DJ after-party
We will book you for the 9:30pm to 10:30pm slot, and for your hour-worth of
spoken-word artistry, we will be able to compensate at the rate of...
LOCAL POETS: $25.00
TRAVELING POETS: $50.00
GROUPS: $50.00 + door cut
TRAVELING POETS: Our audience has varied at 75-150 folks, though the
capacity at our new venue allows for more than double that, and we'll be
building as we go along. For the night that we book out-of-town travelers,
we offer the fee listed above, plus,
travelers can pass the hat for more donations and set up merchandise
sales/tables. Traveling poets can also take advantage of the Slammaster's
many shady connections to get other gigs around town, to make your visit to
S.A. fun + financially wise.
