SPONSORSHIP
PURO¡SLAM! is a no-budget production and exists because many good
folks in SanAnto believe it's a good thing. Check out the list below for
our roster of sponsors, and you'll see that there's a lot of hands on deck.
Still, we need all the help you can give us, so if you'd like to sponsor
PURO ¡SLAM!, we'll gratefully accept your operational-fund donation
($$$) and/or your prize donation for one of the ¡SLAM! champions. Or if you
want to volunteer some exploitable labor, drop us a note or give a call:

INTERESTED IN SPONSORING?
We are currently accepting proposals for sponsorship of slam in the way
of:
(1) one-time prize sponsorship -- you give up a prize for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd
place, and we in turn mention you while awarding your generous prize. Past
prizes have been paintings/prints by such local artists as L.A. David,
Robert Tatum, Genivieve, Ed Saavedra, and John Picacio; CDs from Randy
Garibay, FoolBlown hip-hop distribution; tickets to events such as
CineFestival, the Golden Shower Video Festival, house music parties, etc.
(2) advertising sponsorship -- give up free ad space, and we give up the
props! So far, the Current has decided to sponsor slam with ad space.
(3) operating funds -- your $$$ contribution helps us get poets to
regionals and nationals, pay for flyers, pay talent (DJs and poet
showcases), and build up our web site, cable access show, and other
spinoffs on the way.
As well, anyone wanting to offer up gigs/venues for some of our slam poets
to showcase around town or around the country, we already have hooked up
such gigs as
--a GEMINI INK WORKSHOP
--ART IN THE HOOD.
Hoping to hear from ya'! By helping build this slam, you get exposure to
roughly 80-150 people weekly, a crowd that has been steadily building over
the summer, plus mentions on our web site, and a loving place in our hearts!
